What Is A Hollow Guide

Aug 24, 2022|

The hollow guide rail is a T-shaped elevator pair reuse guide rail that is cold bent (or rolled) from a steel plate. Due to its hollow characteristics, it can reduce the weight and cost of the guide rail. It can meet the role of counterweight guidance, but cannot withstand the clamping force of safety gear, so it is only used for counterweight guide rails that are not equipped with counterweight safety gear and whose elevator speed is not high.

The life of the hollow guide rail is composed of ZIh class, group, type, characteristic, main parameter and deformation code.

□——Deformation code: A means the bottom side is folded, and the bottom side is omitted;

△——Main parameter code: expressed by the unit weight of the guide rail, kg/m;

K——Type code: empty section steel;

T——Class group code: T-shaped elevator pair reuse guide rail.

For example: TK5A stands for 5kg/m T-shaped hollow guide rail with folded edge
