What is the difference between different types of elastic fasteners
Jun 30, 2023| As a kind of railway accessories, spring fasteners play a very important role in the entire railway line, but they can also be divided into different specifications.
Common spring fasteners on the market are Type I, Type II and Type III. I-type elastic fasteners are mainly used. With the development of high-speed railways, Type II clip fasteners and Type III clip fasteners have also been developed. However, regardless of the type of elastic fastener, the fastening parts are mainly elastic fasteners. Through the bending deformation of the elastic fastener, the fastening pressure is applied to the track, which can ensure a long-term reliable connection between the tracks, ensure the integrity of the track, and prevent the track from moving relative to the longitudinal and lateral directions. Sleepers ensure the safe running of rail vehicles. In order to let users know more about clips, the difference between type I clips and type II clips will be explained.
1. The withholding is different. The crimping of Type I clip fasteners is insufficient; the elasticity of Type II clip fasteners is higher than that of Type I clip fasteners.
2. The scope is different. The elastic range of type I elastic fasteners is small; the diameter of type II elastic fasteners is relatively large, not less than 10 mm.
3. The applicable rail specifications are different. Type I clip fasteners are generally used to fix 50kg/m rails; Type II clip fasteners are used to connect 60kg/m rails.
The elastic strips of the clip fastener work under repeated alternating stress. It has many functions such as bending, torsion, fatigue and corrosion. It is also subjected to high instantaneous impact loads when vehicles pass by, so the performance requirements for the clip fasteners are very strict.
