Resonance occurs when the frequency of the external vibration matches the natural frequency of the system (including the equipment and its support). The pads are engineered to shift the natural frequency of the equipment-pad-support system to a different range than the typical vibration frequencies of the machinery. This helps to reduce the amplification of vibrations and provides a more stable operating environment for the industrial equipment.
