The correct installation method of elastic fasteners

May 28, 2023|

From a structural point of view, the elastic fastener is mainly composed of elastic strips, spiral spikes, gauge baffles, under-rail backing plates, flat washers, and pre-embedded casings positioned in prestressed concrete with shoulder rests. In addition, in order to adjust the position of the rail height, it also includes a heightening backing plate. So, what is the installation sequence of the elastic fasteners? In order to answer your doubts, our company will briefly explain to you how to install the elastic fasteners.

Lay the under-rail backing plate, place the under-rail backing plate in the middle of the rail-bearing surface, and the flange of the backing plate should buckle the rail-bearing surface. The steel rail is laid, and the steel rail is laid on the under-rail pad.

Install the gauge baffle, install the gauge baffle on the outer side and the inner side of the rail respectively, and place it between the two ears of the backing plate under the rail, do not press the backing plate under the rail, check the direction of the gauge, if there is any discomfort, replace the rail away from the bezel.

Due to the manufacturing deviation of rails, sleepers and gauge baffles, the installation of gauge baffles with specified numbers cannot meet the gauge requirements or the gauge baffles cannot be installed in place, and can be replaced according to the actual situation. Special attention should be paid to the fact that the gauge baffle should not press the backing plate under the rail; when installing the gauge baffle, the gauge baffle should not be violently knocked into place.

Install the spring bar, put the spring bar in place, put the flat washer on the screw spike and apply the protective grease for railway on the threaded part, then screw it into the casing and tighten the spring bar. The fastening of the elastic bar is based on the contact between the lower jaw of the front end of the middle part of the elastic bar and the rail. The standard for judging whether the elastic bar is installed in place is that the lower jaw at the front end of the middle part of the elastic bar is in contact with the rail, and the gap is not greater than 0.5mm.
