Clip fasteners mainly use materials with bending deformation properties. The processing is relatively simple and the cost is often low. However, due to the tightening and opening of the bolts, this part is prone to stress concentration, and the surface bending moment is exactly where the section is weakened. During the use of the bow-shaped elastic spring fastener, it was found that the bolts were easy to break when tightened. The vibration generated when the train passed by easily caused the elastic springs to loosen, and even some nuts fell off the bolts. In addition, the gauge baffle is prone to climb up to the bottom of the rail under the action of vibration, causing rail gauge expansion.

When the elastic fastener is working, it uses the bending deformation performance of the material and the torsional deformation performance of the material (especially the circular cross-section elastic rod). Therefore, the elasticity is generally good, and there is basically no cross-section weakening, so the utilization rate of the material is high. On conventional lines, it is generally expected that the fastening pressure will be high and the elasticity will be good.
